To all learned intelectuals who have not left any stone unturned to justify the act of an state university feeding on taxpayer's hard-earned money.
 
We, lay persons of this country, who are not as intelecuals as you are, seek justification

I think the Government of India, state governments, the minority commissions, SC/ST Welfare Departments should take a lesson from Jamia University. The Parliament and assemblies should fight for their members with criminal background and offer legal assistance until they are proved guilty. The minority commission should follow the suit by providing legal assistance to all the Muslim, Christian and other minority groups, accused in some crime, 'UNTIL THEY ARE PROVED GUILTY. The SC/ST Welfare Departments across the country should also take care of the downtrodden people, framed under criminal cases, and provide legal assistance.
But then, I have only one small question, which I think you wise people could be able to answer. Who will defend the victims of these criminals?
I remember a lecture given in Bangalore by Justice Malimath, the former Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court. He had said two months, the accused in our criminal justice system is almost like government's son-in-law for, all the agencies get together to see whether the accused person's human rights are violated or not, while the victim is left in isolation to mourn the loss and fight the legal battle on his own. The entire criminal justice system in India, according to Justice Malimath, is 'ACCUSED ORIENTED', while the need is to make it 'victim oriented' criminal justice.
