thank u sanghamitra for ur mail. actually i was in hurry when i wrote this mail. i'm born n brought in durgapur west bengal now living in a sub-urban area neear joka. in my short life span i experienced that there r many intelligent ppl 4m SC community(i dont get any ST in the mainstream , there no was very negligible1-2) and also 4m affluent family as their father is doctor uncle engr like this. but they r also treated as deprived class , benefited 4m reservation take the opportunity of scholarship. but many ppl 4m sc have no access to this scheme. no access means they hv lack of knowledge , lack of interest , and lack of attitude towards life, which we need to be eliminate in the past 60 yr thorgh reservation.but we didnt. and there r many ppl in my surrunding 4m Gc (unfortunately) soo poor they r also not getting any benefit 4m govt bcoz they r not deprived , bcoz they were fetched many opportunity 4m the begining right??? madam u r doing phd or u r very brilliant good academics, tehre r many ppl like u who has huge amt of papers on socio-economic upgradation.......but ever u think that these papers doing nothing. i got mails 4m this community , thanks to this community who gv us a space to express our feeling. i'm working in grassroot level and a student of economics(v bad student). can u tell me mam is this theory do anything for ppl??nooooo..........mam i m experiencing that many of govt scheme is going invain , bcoz ppl hv no access to this scheem.and this reservation in respect to caste /religion is only for vote purpose u know na???and we ppl never accept a SC DOCtor, never nevr.but i know they also hv intelligency. i think financial support should be give to the deprived class not only on caste /religion basis, All India-2004-05 Religion/Caste SCs STs OBCs Others All Hindu 22.2 9.1 42.8 26.0 100 Muslim 0.8 0.5 39.2 59.5 100 Christians 9.0 32.8 24.8 33.3 100 Sikhs 30.7 0.9 22.4 46.1 100 Jains 0.0 2.6 3.0 94.3 100 Buddhists 89.5 7.4 0.4 2.7 100 Zoroastrians 0.0 15.9 13.7 70.4 100 Others 2.6 82.5 6.2 8.7 100 Total 19.7 8.5 41.1 30.8 100 keep mailin bye mondira
