In this respect, i now demand that all tribals of North East should be brought back to their ancestoral religion, and all rights they enjoyed before britishers took over, should be restored to them. In order to protect the ancestoral religion of the tribals, a strong law should be enacted to prevent conversion of any sort. Because, conversion destroys tribals ancestoral religion. The government should immediately restore pre-british rights of the tribals, so that they have the necessary powers to manage and preserve their culture and religion and social structure. All missionaries, should be asked to leave the tribal area, and conversions should be banned outright. A separate movement should be launched to bring back the tribals to their original religion, in the North Eastern region. The same movement has to extend to other parts of india. Hi Pravin,
Please substantiate the following statement of yours..
"but the fact remains that tribals are aboriginal residents of this country who have suffered a lot at the hands of Aryans who migrated to this country who intruded into the habitats of tribals."
You cannot allege something.
The Aryan Invasion theory has been disproved long ago, and its not an authentic version to prove your allegations. Moreover its just a theory and not historical incidence.
In Hindu literature, there are numerous incidences where tribal leaders had good relations with plains people..
Sri Rama being hosted by Guha, a tribal leader is a best example of how tribal people are linked to mainstream hindus.
And you are conveniently ignoring the invasion of tribals by britishers and christian missionaries..

They have no rights. I think this forum also is infiltrated by demons who have determined to keep you Adivasi and Tribal's for ever so they will rule supreme and you win your right to serve them for ever.
Sri Venkat wrote: It may be true tribals are not Hindus
But it is also true there is proper definition for a Hindu
And finally, it is also true both tribals and the Hindus share a lot similar beliefs, ethos, are are children of the land of India and products of the Indian civilization.
And then of course, it is also true, there are forces using this line of reasoning to create divide between tribals and Hindus (when none existed previously) and convert the tribals.
So in the end it will be true that tribals will remain neither as tribals nor as Hindus, but asaliens with alien names and alien beliefs in their own land!
Let us be frank. If it were not for Christian missionaries expanding into tribal areas and converting, them... this question of tribal religion will not even arise. In India virtually none of the communities identiy themselves based on their religion, but by their jati. Even communities such ISKCON did not identify themselves as Hindu (though when problems arose, they quickly came to the Indian/Hindu community for help)
Unfortunately today this trend of religious identification has started because there are external attacks agenda to convert the whole population. So for purposes of survival and safeguard our interests we all have to become united.
Otherwise very few people of Indian civilization care whether you believe in a tree, or a special god, or the sun or he moon. (I guess for us everything is sacred).
It is important to understand how and why this fear of identity has arisen for tribals when they lived without such fears for 99.9% our their civilization. Also who benefits when they de-contruct and divide and deride us as nature believers, pagans, devil worshippers etc.
(hint: a tranlated version of a religious book in Kuduk language, one of the main tribal languages in Jharkhand, outraged the tribal community with remarks :"Destroy the trees and Sarna (tribals' worship places). Be assured it did not involve any Hindu nor Hindutva.
