Re: 60 hours of terror strike, Hotel Taj: Whose India? Whose Icon?
Dear Jaganath ji,
Thank you for your strong message. On the one hand it is true that
every life is valuable, and hence the death of a rich person under
such tragic situation is as shocking as that of a poor person. And yet
the exclusive focus on the Taj hotel both in domestic and foreign
media (the foreign media in fact was reiterating the fact that there
are people of their own nationalities trapped in the hotel which
almost sounded that that was the main concern) on one aspect of the
attack and the erasure of the sufferings of common people seemed that
indeed some lives are perhaps seen to be worth more than others!

Regards,
Tapoja Chaudhuri
