Congratulations for the fantastic contents in your curriculum to have more of social inclusion.
While I agree that textbooks must teach social inclusion, such ideologies and biases have only limited possibilities when they are "preached" from above.
I have always been a secular fundamentalist, not because I am essentially a very tolerant person (I hate Hindutvawadis with so much anger that sometimes I am worried for myself) but because I have some "facts."
For instance, the founder of my mother's dynasty also known as one Binayak Sen was a Buddhist monk in Kamrup. He was advised by his mentor to become a householder. The nawab of Kamprup then identified a village by the banks of the river Ajay off Burdwan for him to settle down. The Nawab wrote to the Nawab of bengal, Murshid Kuli Khan who granted Mr Sen the land on the strict instructions that Mr Sen open a Hindu Temple. Mr Sen agreed albeit under pressure and he placed a replica of Kamakshya which he had bought in Kamrup only as a mantle piece as the deity. The temple is still there but my mother's famly balks at Murshid Kuli khan's massive Hindutva drive in which many Buddhist monks were forced to learn and teach Sanskrit and set up Hindu temples.
Murshid Kuli is a Muslim, we were Buddhist and now live as Hindus and our temple service 'castes" are families of Muslim peasants who continue to be bargadars in the temple land.
I know of many such local histories of Dalits, adivasis and non-Hindu dynasties and hence I know that Hindutva is fake and the demand for a separate homeland for Muslims has also been a lie.
