You have responded well, without emotion and very matter of fact. If the facts given by you are truthfully so - I do believe you are not prevaricating - then quite a lot of misconceptions are in many minds. They have to be dispelled.
I am a Christian and I do feel bad about this bogey of 'conversion'. Those who howl the loudest will, nevertheless, take the risk and send their children to christian educational institutions! They are willing to take even a greater risk - that their children may live in christian countries to earn and have a comfortable life. Even take up citizenship.
Facts can be twisted by propaganda. Even the educated persons are willing to believe lies when the embellishments are appealing. Media plays a serious role undoubtedly.
Discriminations are inevitable. To say there is none is not perhaps acceptable: dont we the citizens of this country face that at times in our own country?
Places of worship by almost all faiths are existing in christian countries like The US and UK
and the christians do not impose restrictions. The sages, bhagavans, bhagavatis and maharshis are freely setting up glitzy 'ashrams in these countries' Christians evidently do not feel threatened and so are not beating up the 'converted saffron robed europeans' nor do they burn the Indian ''converters' - if I may call them so.
It is only proper that before judging one should take the trouble to read Holy books of other religions to dispel misconceptions.

Thank you Dr.Matin for the correct information about islam adn Jehad. It is the need of the time to spread the reality of islam in practice as the Prophet (pbuh)has shown.We the muslims are largely reponsible for what the present situation against Islam and Muslim is prevailing on this earth.We have to be a true muslim then the whole world will understand Islam very well.I pray for the existance of peace on this surface. Who are we to question why? We are but to listen and cry! No matter what you state here! There is no one with a good ear! All who read our messages are but short sighted and blind too. They are those who have made up their minds to conmdemn us- All Muslims, be they educated, work experienced or have values That were given to them rigth from their growning stages- Every Muslim is branded by his Indian brothers and sisters now Just because they do not open their mouths and reason with the Crowd who jointly state all Muslims are Jihadees and Terrorists I for one was labeled too, as an associate of Osama Bin Laden , Along with Three Indian Muslim Men, one has a Canadian passort The there two were related , we four were accussed and called By the Ministry of Interior -Dubai Police Head Quarters (UAE). The three men were thrown into a common jail with the worst ! Lucky for me, being a lady they suspected my innocent husband Called his mobile, which I happened to answer and as usual I Questioned the unusal caller asking what the matter could be Why was my hubby being called by this Department? I told the Caller there has got to be a mistake. It must be me instead. Captain Salem said: "Are you Barbara Thyab Ali?" " Yes I am" "Can you come along with your husband tomorrow as the chief of our department wants question you in regards to a case" I said : " Sure , I will be there tomorrow by 11 AM" Next day we took a local translator along ,but were asked not allowed to go into the office room with him.Then the chief stated:"There is a case on you that states you are connected with Osama Bin Ladden and also some Pakistani Terrorists and that you know the three men who are now in the Dubai Police Head quarters in the maximum security jail"."I asked him to tell me who has made this case on me and them? He said its come from Sydney Australia: At once I told him: The man who has done this is a Converted Christian, left Islam for a Russian Girl!! He got the shock of his life to hear these words from my mouth. He then said: "You have to leave your Passport with me and after and enquiry is carried out You can have it back" I gave him a hard look and looked him in the eye square as ever and said: " My passport belongs to Me and it his Indian Government property not the UAE's I will not part with it" At this my husband got so worried ad supset He started: " I told you we should take our Lawyer with us & you told me no need". I told my hubby: " I will not pay any fees to a Lawyer or to any one but the guy who made this case will never be spared by me. The whole lot got crazy and then I was asked to go upstairs and answer a few questions, while I did this, I got the telephone numbers of the other three men who were inside the jail, on going home, I called one number and the guy answered he was a brother of one of the innocent victims in the Dubai jail. I spoke to him for half an hour & we met the next day, we got him in Sydney talking as planned, we recorded the sick swine, who kept abused the Arabs and laughed like hell over the complaint he sent with the help of the Sydney CIA etc.,. The Dubai Police Head Quarters released The Innocent Indian Muslim men and I got them to revert the case If this could have happened to me and these three Innocent Muslim Indian Men from Chennai, then think about how much harm is being done to the millions of Innocent Muslims around the world today??? The guilty was a Muslim from a broken family called Ziad Shah now called Bruce married to Irina in Sydney both hold Australian passports earlier lived in Royapetah and bought a flat in Velacheri No 28 Breezy Nook Apartments Dhandeeswara Nagar Chennai 42. I too still hold a three bedroom flat on the ground floor No 4G. All because I stopped his crooked, and cripled sister Shaheen Shah From breaking up a happily married family of 8 kids and their mother who was married for a second time to the General Manager of Millinem Hotel , three star in Dubai.Yes, Islam is a great & real religion which has given all Muslims that extra feeling of guts, courage and faith to face any thing and every thing when it comes to our conduct and character we Muslims are never going to sit still and suck our thums, Allah is Great and we know the depth of our religion and cannot speak for those who do not know anything about Islam and the teachings of Islam, No where does it teach us to be Terrorists or evil and wicked human beings today!!!

Dear Dr Khan, I am a free thinker and hold no brief for any religion. Truth based on sound reasonings, proofs and practice is my watchword. Looked at from any perspective, cosmic existence reduces to consciousness-energy from which the cosmos was manifested. There's no need to introduce the strained and artificial theory of an extra-comic god to understand cosmic existence. With consciousness forming an intrinsic part of cosmic existence, the inherent intelligence in energy needed to formulate the precise natural laws and to account for the emergence in matter of sentience and graduated life forms gets beautifully explained without the primitive and irrational need to look up to some fictitious extra-cosmic god who creates out of nothing and who like a dictator governs the cosmos from his extra-cosmic heaven and who abuses, curses and threatens with dire consequences all those who refuse to swallow these religious cock and bull stories. All these tales are products of undeveloped and hallucinating minds that were invented in ancient times by individuals who knew nothing of the non-dualistic cosmic reality based on consciousness-energy that gives rise to a self-existent, self-sufficient and self-explanatory real understanding of existence. All this fits in superbly with the irrefutable laws of conservation of energy, causation and unity underlying diversity. The only answer that eludes science is whether consciousness is derivative of energy or if energy is derived from consciousness. The latter view appears consistent with reason and findings as consciousness cannot be quantified or subjected to any form of physico-chemical analyses unlike energy and its condensed version (matter). Well, whatever be it the irrefutable conclusion based on reasonings, experience and experimental proof is that consciousness-energy is the ultimate substratum and source of the cosmos which goes through eternal cycles of manifestation, sustenance and dissolution. Cause and effect should arise from within a system and not without. I can refute your defense of Islam word for word if I chose to do so and can easily show that the teachings of the Quran are based on fiction, hate, discrimination and terror. As for your naive comments on Saudi Arabia, well, while non-Muslims dominate the workforce there in view of the fact that the native Saudis are an uneducated, incompetent lot, the harsh fact remains that the Saudis deny religious freedom to non-Muslims. Why is this so? Non-Muslims are not free to construct places of worship, proselytize, convert, dispose off their dead in the manner they chose to and are banned from possesing icons and books of their respective faiths and are severely punished if they're caught violating the draconian law.
